As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the states of Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia, I have over 20 years of counseling and behavioral health experience. I have worked with children as young as 6 and adults throughout the lifespan. My expertise is helping teens and adults overcome the issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, trauma, addiction, relationship issues and navigating the seasons of life. I practice an integrative approach to counseling services; incorporating your mind and body. I am well versed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment approaches in order to promote change, self-acceptance, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, distress tolerance
and emotion regulation.
My therapeutic approach promotes an environment of acceptance, validation and compassion. I aspire to facilitate growth, recovery and transformation for all.

Erin Austin
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Registered Play Therapy Supervisor
Erin has a Bachelor of Psychology degree from James Madison University and a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2009 and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor (RPT-S) since 2019. She is also certified as an Early
Intervention Professional and Case Manager specifically working with infant,
toddlers, and their families. She has extensive training in the topics of infant and
maternal mental health. Erin has 17 years of experience providing counseling, group work and case
management services to children, adults, and families in a variety of community
settings. She has developed new programs, collaborated and served on
multiple interdisciplinary teams, and supervised other counselors in the mental
health field.
Erin is committed to working with individuals, couples, and families. She enjoys
helping others while using strength-based approaches and integrating various
treatment therapies to best meet the needs and goals of the clients she works with.
She believes therapy is a collaborative process between herself and her clients.
Licensed and accepting new clients in the following states: Colorado, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, and Virginia.
She uses a warm, directive, and authentic approach to create a safe and supportive
environment that invites clients to build insight and achieve balance. She empowers
clients to accomplish their goals, while utilizing their strengths for change. Erin
strives to be a source of motivation and commitment for clients as they navigate
the ebb and flow of life.

Amanda Shore
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Amanda Shore is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. She has a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Social Work. Amanda has experience working with children, adults and families coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, PTSD, and difficult life transitions to find healthy ways to overcome the issues they are facing. Her frameworks are client-centered, strengths based and solution focused, with an emphasis on improving confidence, self-worth, and self-esteem.
She approaches her clients warmly, taking into account their unique needs and goals while using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), and
exposure therapy to help identify their strengths, address any obstacles and develop skills to help each client achieve desired change on their journey towards wellness and recovery.
